Apr 12, 2010 The Hindu: Bandar Port works will begin soon: Parthasarathy
VIJAYAWADA: Animal Husbandry and Fisheries Minister Kolusu Parthasarathy on Sunday said the works relating to the Bandar Port at Machilipatnam would begin soon. The long-awaited port development works would finally materialise meeting the long-standing aspirations of the people of the district, he added.
Addressing a press conference at the R and B guest house in Machilipatnam, Mr. Parthasarathy admitted that there were many apprehensions following the financial conditions and controversy surrounding the Maytas developers. But there would be progress now with Navayuga company having been brought in the place of Maytas to take forward the development of the port, he asserted.
